Sight can start with glasses and contacts, however, vision is the brain
process that lies behind the eyes. After many years of practice and not
being able to address the full visual process, we decided to open a clinic
that can take vision to the next level.
Sheryl Lentfer, OD
I have enjoyed practicing in Alaska since 1996. It’s the place I love to live and play with my family and friends.
Skiing, coaching, mountain and snow biking, hiking, hunting, fishing and flying are just some of my loves.
After growing up in Alaska, I graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and The Eye Institute in 1996 with clinical honors.
I am the board chairman of the Alaska Brain Injury Network. I am past president of the Alaska Optometric Association, legislative key person for the Alaska Optometric Association, members of the national Alaska Optometric Association, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, Optometric Extension Program, and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

After 12 years of practicing in Seattle, I had the fortunate opportunity to move to Alaska. Its people, beauty, wilderness, and adventure makes me so happy and proud to call Alaska home.
I graduated from the University of Washington and continued my education at Pacific University College of Optometry, graduating with honors in 2000.
I am on the board of the Alaska Brain Injury Network and on the Alaska Optometric Board. I am past president of the King County Society of the Optometric Physicians of Washington, member of American Optometric Association, College of Optometrists in Vision Development, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, and the Optometric Extension Program.
